Day 10 of my 22′ Rocky Mountain tour. Back in the saddle again!

I woke up and had my coffee (AGAIN) and packed up the bike. It was great spending a few days with my parents, and I resolved to come back and do the area right with the V-Strom. Kanab is home to a growing number of off road trails, dual sport areas, and general dirt adventures. Plus I get free carrot cake from my mom, what’s not to like?
I avoided the interstate as much as I could and kept to Route 89 north through the canyons and followed the creeks. I didn’t take too many new photos as I had already caught some in the car in the days prior. BUT, some new places did stand out.

The strom was running like a top. All my little upgrades and tweaks before the trip made slamming down more miles much easier. I also work cycling shorts underneath my pants, helping my tush (and tender jewels) ride in relative comfort.
I got to stay with my sis again, and briefly visited with some more of my nieces and nephews (thanks for the delicious everything-in-them cookies). I even got to see my Great Niece (I am a Great Uncle in all ways now).

My other great but not TECHNICAL great as in a generation older, niece was very into my motorcycle and how I got there.

I was treated to a great dinner and free tickets to the BUTTERFLY CONSERVATORY I LOVE BUTTERFLIES!!!

It was pretty rad. The employees were great and very hands-on with the kids (and curious adults) at getting to feel and touch all the butterflies.

I mean even the bathroom had some pretty fly tiled mosaics

It was great. I got a good sticker for my boxes so the world knows how rad butterflies are, and we retreated back home for some sunset hot tubbing (I should get a hot tub…) and red vines. My kind of party.

Hot tub after a long day of riding is really the best. It checks ALL of the boxes. Thanks sis.
I got to bed early to wake up early, to beat the heat and venture into Idaho.
